Changes to my study programme

Today we are going to talk about my study plan.

I am a student of visual arts, between 2016 and before that I did two years of basic cycle in the same university.

During the basic cycle the load is relatively light, it is four times a week with a duration of approximately three hours each day. I really enjoyed that stage, it was very lively, even though it was difficult because when I started studying my son was barely six months old and I had to leave him in the nursery, which made me very sad. I also had some shortcomings, such as the fact that it was a very distant extension of what the degree was, there were no benefits, such as scholarships or I passed school, but I think the biggest thing was that there was no consistent continuity between what was the basic cycle and the degree.

Between the bachelor's degree and the hourly load increased, there were semesters when I had very large windows, but since I didn't live nearby I couldn't go home and come back. There were branches called transversals that the whole school attended and we all had classes in the same room, those of theatre, dance, etc. And although it was a bit chaotic, it was fun when it was time to work in a group.

I am impressed by the way the classes are given, they are very traditional, following the models of the school of fine arts, for example for example, in drawing, first you practice with a plaster model, then with live models, and when you are in your third year you can only opt for something more experimental. Law is taught, for example lithography, which is a technique of engraving on stone, it is very old, I am not against it, I see it as something romantic, however in these things the precariousness of the use of technology is reflected, the media branches are very few, and in this context of pandemic it has been a forced learning to know about diagramming and computer work. This is a weakness if we buy ourselves from other universities. And it's a clear disadvantage the day we have to go out as artists into the world of work, which in this country sucks, something that is at the bottom of the list. This will be one of the main reasons given for the lack of funds and the weak infrastructure that the faculty and the school of arts in general have.

For example, my workshop is very technical and needs machines to be able to work, there are few of them for the number of students, and this generally happens in workshops that are more "technical".

personal opinion

Hello

Today I am going to talk about tattoos, personally I love them <3 although I only have 9 on my body, some not so nice, but I love them anyway

I'm not sure what fascinates me most about them.

Born in different parts of the world

During history they have had a negative connotation, as for the Greeks and the Romans, it corresponds more to a stigma than to a social punishment, for bad actions, like stealing, killing, etc.

There are also the tattoos in native towns, among the most recognized are the Polynesian ones, where the tattoo acquires a positive connotation and of social importance, with geometric designs.

In some American towns they have a ritualistic connotation, where they mark a transition from some important life event, or to commemorate the dead and protection. In some cases the pigments used were ashes from cremations.

In Chile many passing rituals were used for ceremonies, for example the Mapuche still paint their bodies to perform some dances such as the choike purrún so that the ostriches come down to dance with them. Few peoples had permanent tattoos, among them the Chinchorro culture, which had a deep connection with the cult of death, which is reflected in their elaborate mummification processes.

In these times the tattoo is already accepted as an art, and the market offers hundreds of products for tattooers and tattooed people, there are fairs, conventions, courses, and different styles of tattoos, inks of all colours, extracted from vegetable pigments, vegan inks

However, if one is looking for formal work in companies, they ask that one does not have tattoos or that they are not visible, there is still not as much acceptance.

my future job

 hello

I'm in my last semester at the university and sometimes I have an existential crisis about how I'm going to support myself in the short term, since I have two children and many projects in mind.

the specialty that i chose is engraving, i like it very much but without a doubt it is very difficult to find a job in that for me, i think that when i have my house, i will be able to gather money to set up my own workshop and dedicate myself to engraving, specifically silk-screen printing and xylography. i also enjoy very much sewing and embroidering, working the garden, weaving, binding and taking photographs

I'm also applying to continue my studies in pedagogy in secondary education, I'm especially interested in the CREAD(sename) centres and perhaps women's prisons. Although it would be a bit difficult for me to go into a hospital, well mainly because of my family (I would miss them), that's why it's difficult for me to leave the country, I wouldn't leave my children here.

Later on I also think about migrating to the south of Chile and being able to have a job there, something with an intercultural focus. And if I don't manage to find a job as soon as I get out, although that would not be ideal, I think about developing in any job, I don't make him sick, or develop some trade

I am also learning how to do tattoos and although I still have a lot to learn, it would be ideal for me, as I would be able to distribute my time and be more present in my children's lives.

I try to be as multifunctional as I can, and I adapt to different situations.

MOVIES AND SERIES

We've had to talk about a film or series that is recommendable, I don't know if I would recommend anything that I don't like.  I am a mother of two children (beautiful boys) so I don't have much time to watch films, let alone some that are not childishly themed, so my oldest son asked me to watch the film "nine" or "number nine" is a 2009 gringo animation directed by Shane acker and produced by Tim Burton and Timur bekmambetov.

It is based on a short film by the same director

The film is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Where all the humans have gone and the earth is desolate, in this hostile world live these living dolls that are nine, and machines that try to destroy them.

Each one of these characters has a personality that characterizes them.

We like it because it is a film full of humanity, and tenderness too, even the smallest ones have an important role

When my son was little, he used to say: 'Mummy, I want to see the film about the rag'.

Today I will talk about a holiday

In September 2018 I travelled with my son Nahuel and my partner to the south of Chile. We went to meet my partner's great-grandmother, grandmother Marta, who lives in the countryside on the banks of the Chol Chol River, where we stayed for about a week, then we travelled to Villarrica.

That same day in the afternoon we went up to Liquiñe, a small town that is still an hour away from Argentina, It really has some wonderful landscapes where the lakes seem to join the sky and the native forest wherever you look, nearby there were some natural hot springs and a waterfall that we went to see, we also collected digüeñes, we were like three days in that place.

We also went to Panguipulli, haaa, I love it, the lake, the forest, the air, look at the ruka pillan, there lives my grandmother (chuchu) in the field, it's been years since I've seen her, it was the same as the last time, it started raining however we kept walking through the field, I went to the river, and we found the small foye forest where I remembered my grandfather.

Then we went to Lanco and although it's not such an eye-catching town I have a lot of family there and we had a great time, I remember it was raining a lot and we were two days without light, but we still ate, danced and laughed.
We spent about 25 days travelling, nahuel had a lot of fun, when we returned to Santiago we found out that we would be parents again. Well... I spent all that time with a giant backpack on my shoulders.

a country I want to visit

In this post I will talk about a country that we would like to visit, well and how to dream is free.

First of all I would like to know Latin America, I think about a family trip to different countries of the continent, I would also like to know Africa, I think it is a continent with many stories to tell, the first country on the list is Madagascar, the biggest island of Africa located in the Indian Ocean, One when imagining Africa thinks about lions and an arid landscape, in Madagascar however has a diversity of landscapes within the same country, so in the north it has a soil of volcanic zone, in the centre of the island it is an alluvial soil zone, with many rivers and hills, in the south you can see more arid landscapes, and in some coastal areas of clear water and white sand, there are reefs.

i would like to go and enjoy the landscapes, especially the endemic plant life  we are especially fond of birds, and in madagascar there are species unique in the world.
